The Yamaha Z combines the tonal richness and depth of character of the older traditional flugels with the easy playability and superb intonation made possible by high-tech engineering. Inspired by legendary artist Bobby Shew, the Z features the perfect amount of air resistance to let the player color the sound. The YFH8310ZS features a .413" bore, 6" one-piece Silver-plated yellow-brass bell and a newly designed leadpipe, outer leadpipe area and a new connection brace between the leadpipe and the valve casing. Other features include Monel pistons, vertical valve slides and a newly designed third valve slide trigger which is more ergonomic and will accommodate a wider range of hand sizes. The YFH8310ZS includes a Bobby Shew Signature Series mouthpiece and a case.
